Acoustic Mandala Project: A Sound Meditation Experience

Acoustic Mandala Project creates soundscapes based on these original primal vibrations. The sounds are inherently transformative and healing. In the context of a sound meditation, participants lie down on yoga mats and don eye-masks, while the facilitators utilize gongs, Tibetan bowls, bamboo flutes, overtone singing, and other instruments that create these transcendent sounds.

- OM 101: Learn about the History and Meaning of OM

Learn about the history and meaning of OM and mantra meditation from teachers in Hindu, Sikh, and Tibetan Buddhist spiritual traditions. Participants will have the opportunity to experience a small group session in our galleries with each teacher. Each session will begin with a brief discussion of OM in the teacher’s spiritual tradition, followed by a short meditation. Afterwards, guest speakers Pandit Dasa, Sharan Bir Kaur Gill, and Repa Dorje Odzer will discuss OM and mantras, with moderator Dana Trixie Flynn in our theater followed by a Q&A. 
Urban Monk by Gadadhara Pandit Dasa, will be available for purchase in the shop and a book signing with the author will follow the program.

- Sound Bath

The OM-in comes to a close with an immersive, meditative sound bath experience in the Spiral Lobby, created by sound therapy practitioner and founder of Atonal Meditation, Alex Falk.
